The best advice is to have easy to clean and durable flooring. This may be from wooden floorboards to vinyl, with rugs to make it cosy!!

During a recent review by an independent safety expert of our 2-storey tent design with reference to fire safety, they identified a potential issue with regards to escape in the event of a fire, from the upper floor. As you are aware, we already include a zip at ground floor level in the rear of our tents for escape in the event of a fire at the front of the tent, but we have not addressed the issue of escape from the upper floor in our 2-storey lodge safari tent and our 2 storey grand safari tent. In late November 2014 The Wilderness Foundation, Essex took delivery of a great new addition to our Wilderness Academy � a purpose-built Safari Tent. The tent was erected with the support of Anderson Construction who kindly gave time and resources to construct the wooden base for the tent, and then the team from Clear Sky Safari Tents who built the rest of the structure with support from some of our team. The building was ready for our Festive Fayre and made a great stop-off point for Father Christmas.
